Flyup ~ Leisure Lakes Bikes 2017 team
I am 28 and a qualified physiotherapist. I did a little bit of road cycling as a teenager competing in triathlons, but gave it up and didn't cycle again until I discovered mountain biking about 6 years ago. I mostly rode xc up until about 2 years ago when I started getting into downhill and enduro. My love of mountain biking comes from all the wonderful people I've met through the sport and the sense if accomplishment and freedom. I started racing last year at the Forest of Dean where I entered a couple of the Mini Downhill events, and also a couple of enduros. Racing, particularly in the ladies categories, has such a great atmosphere and sense of community as well as the competition and sense of achievement it inspired me to push myself more with my riding and looking back over the last 2 years I feel like I have progressed so much and can't wait to conquer the next challenge. This year I've entered some of the Pearce series to push myself even more.
I've been riding 19 years this year. I enjoy most types of riding. From dirt jumping to DH to XC. As long as I'm having fun and getting some air time I'm happy! I started out dirt jumping and eventually competed at dirt jump contests around the U.K in the early 00's. There I earned the coveted Trails Style Award many times, due to having good style but not so many tricks! I then raced 4x for many years, finally winning the Overall Senior category in 2011. I then moved to the Elite category finishing 10th in the first season. Injury kept me away from racing for a while until this year I decided I wanted to race again. I hope to compete in most 4x and local DH races.

I'm Oscar Powell, 16 from Stroud.
This year I'll be racing 4x and downhill in the junior category. Might throw in a few Enduro races here and there.
This will be my third year racing 4x. Ive had a few successes in the past with a 3rd overall and a 1st overall in the national series.
My goals for the year are to take the national champs jersey home with me and to push my riding to the limit on both downhill and 4x.
I'm fairly new to the downhill scene but am really enjoying it so far. I'm looking forward to some fun times and hopefully some bds races and 4x pro tours.

Discipline – Downhill
I have been riding a downhill bike for just over a year and racing for a year and a half. Last year I was the women’s overall winner in the MIJ summer series at the Forest of Dean. I also came 3rd in the Pearce races in the Masters Category. I haven’t been racing for 5 months due to injury but I’m back on it now and loving being part of the sport again. When I’m not racing I run Ladies Do DH days. When I started riding downhill I didn’t know any other ladies who rode so its nice for others who are getting into the sport to meet other like minded people. I’m proud to be racing for Flyup 417 Bike Park and with such an awesome team.http://www.417bikepark.co.uk/news/introducing-aman...

I'm Ben, I'm 18 years old and I started riding about 3 years ago, I mostly ride Downhill with the odd bit of enduro, both of which I race in. My bikes are a Specialized Demo and a Giant Reign; You'll see me mostly at the Forest of Dean or the 417 bike park at weekends. I’m wanting to develop my dirt jump and dual slalom skills whilst having a good time racing in a variety of events! If you see me about feel free to come and talk to me, I’m happy to help out.
During the day, I'm a trail builder and mountain bike skills coach at 417 Bikepark. In my free time, if I'm not cleaning or fixing my bike, I'm riding it. I ride downhill, trails and dirt jumps and this year I'll be racing a combination of downhill and enduro events
Hi I'm Will, I'm 29 and have been riding for 3 years now. I mainly focus on downhill racing and have recently got the bug for urban downhill as well. I like to vary my training and keep my skills fresh with sessions on the dirt jump and enduro bike. I have also decided that this year I will do one or more new things a week whether it be a new jump, skill or something that scares me in an attempt to keep progressing in my riding as quickly as possible. So if you want to see what I'm up to, give me a follow on Instagram @_ghostwolf
Hi I'm scott,
I used to be a hardcore, shaven legged roadie. Realised the error of my ways a few years ago, moved to New Zealand and road Dh everyday. Haven't been on a road bike since! I will mainly be racing Dh and enduro but hope to try my hand at 4x.
